In the Snowbelt, one better be sure that your power is good and your generators are working well: power outages happen often during winter storms. If you’ve not tested it? You will soon.

I was once told that there was enough diesel fuel in the underground storage tanks to keep our data center’s generators running for a month without outside power. I’m guessing that was an exaggeration- maybe they’ll run for week… ๐
I have no idea how frequently the generators are tested, or how often the storage tanks’ fuel level is verified.
